This time next week we will be half way to India!

Hopefully there are no more Ash clouds!! Jay and Mb have had their travel vaccs and I have stocked up on mosquito repellant, Aquim, and sunscreen. I met a lovely lady during the week (S) and her beautiful baby. It was great to speak to someone in person who had just arrived back with, I must say, the most relaxed, happy and gorgeous looking baby! Thanks so much (S) for all your advice, pics and time!!
I move from fear to excitement to stressed through out the days at the moment. We have so much on our plates, more like platters, at the moment. MB and I have had so much to organise before going away with work, uni, Jay, and dealing with frustrating tradespeople who are fixing our house. Our home was badly flooded 5+ months ago and the Tradesmen have been a nightmare to co-ordinate. Plus the fact we have a massive clean up job of dusty, dirty crap when we get back before we can move in!
Thanks to CK and B& SJ for their kind comments, much appreciated!
We have only told close family so far about our travels, others think we are just going away on holiday. I had a neighbour who thought it was his right to rant about how you couldn't pay him enough to go to India, blah blah blah. He has never even been there, usually I would just think whatever and ignore it. This time I decided to tell him to mind his own business and keep his opinions to himself. I was still annoyed afterwards so I "bravely" (not) texted him, not with my first thought of *$5# off but just to tell him he offended me and not to bother doing so again. His heartfelt apology was "Sorry I'm racist"! What a Pig of a man!
Apart from that, we are excited to be meeting up with a Melbourne couple who are staying at Svelte for pick up off their twins! That will be really good, can't wait.
Hoping to get a bit of sight seeing in and thinking of seeing if we could visit an orphanage with some pressies for the kids. We did this is Thailand last year and it was a really good experience for Jay, MB and me, even though I cried for a few days after, not because the children were unhappy or uncared for, quite the opposite; I was more upset I couldn't take them all home to keep for myself! One little girl in particular wanted me to hold her the whole time. I asked our Thai friend her name and she said in english it translates to "Coconut Milk", so yes I cried for Coconut Milk!!!! The thing I wasn't prepared for was just how happy they were! It was a really well organised orphanage, modelled from a german idea that  every 3-4 children each had a 'parent figure' who lived with them in self contained accommodation, it was like a village atmosphere (like retirement villages in Australia), with communal play, school and eating areas!
Anyway, Im rambling now! Will post through out our trip for more updates....
