The wait is FINALLY over

Our 2nd day in Delhi and Mum and I were off to see the sights when we noticed a missed call then an email to ring urgently.........Our little bub had decided today was the day to be born!!!! So at a whopping 7.6 pounds little Kai Lennox Baker was born at 10:59am!!!!! Mum and I quickly chucked heaps of things into a nappy bag and Rahul drove like a mad man to get us to the Hospital, even going through the emergency/bus lanes!!! I think he knew we were women on a mission.

Upon arrival Rachna took us to meet the Baby Doctor and he told us that our little boy was 7.6 pounds and very healthy, he screamed upon entry to the world and was in good health with agpar score of 8 and 9, length 50cms. I was chanting at the bit to see him so I didnt ask many questions, all I could think was get me in there I want to see my baby!!!

Mum and I had to take our shoes off and wash our hands, put blue hospital gowns on and sterilise our hands and use hospital thongs before we could see or touch him. The nurses and Doctors are wonderful caring and very protective of our baby so we are so impressed. Kai had a little plastic oxygen dome over his head and hooked up to heart rate monitors. He looked so chubby and cute, he is the biggest baby in the hospital and we had a laugh with Sister Gigi about how chubby he is.

So excited and can't wait to hold my little man (expected to be released from hospital in 48hrs) and for Jay and Mb to see him as they are still in Singapore, they are coming tomorrow night. Jay is happy to have a little brother and has been telling Mb how he is going to teach him basketball!!!

Today has been sooooo amazing and sooooo unexpected he he life is wonderful we are so lucky so blessed!!!!! Our surrogate is doing well, cant wait to see her and thank her a million times !!!!
