We are a day or so off 15 weeks and have heard nothing from India which is always good news! Thank you Rekha for looking after our little bubba and I hope you are well and happy! I often think of Rekha and I look at the picture of her smiling face, she looks so kind and her eyes sparkle with happiness. I didn't get to meet Rekha and I really can't wait to thank her face to face and let her know she is doing such a wonderful job and I really want to just give her a huge hug and thank her for being our surrogate mother. How do you really ever thank someone for giving the gift of all gift's, a child you and your family so desperately want?
It's hard being here when my half my heart is still in India. I want to go back, I want to meet Rekha, I want to just be there but I know I can't. My family in Australia need me here, my beautiful boy really needs his mum at the moment.
I have lost my passion for posting on my blog at the moment and have had to take a step back from thinking too much about India and the whole surrogacy process.
I always like to look on the bright side of life and I look at hardships in my life as opportunities to learn new skills and lessons in life.
We received brillant news the other day from our local council that drains will be put in the farmland behind our house to reduce water flowing through our backyard and more importantly through our house again! Not sure if it was all my emails, phone calls or meetings which ended in me sobbing in front of two council men who showed as much empathy for our situation as a brick wall!
Lesson learnt, persistance pays off, with councils and with having another child (fingers crossed).....things are getting better

Things are getting much better! I have put away some special things for you just in case it is a girl. I so understand you saying half your heart is in India. I think mine stayed there! India just happens to have that effect. 15 weeks - yay.
ReplyDeleteI admire the valuable information you supply in your posts. I will bookmark your blog and check back here often. I'm fairly sure I'll learn lots of new stuff right here!
ReplyDelete15 weeks is awesome, and I agree, no news is good news. If you need to take a break, do it. Sometimes the whole surrogacy journey is so overwhelming that we lose our identity with in it.
ReplyDeleteYay for 15 weeks! Love that your surro is also Rekha, obviously a popular name.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the drains!!! What a relief.
Great news!! I understand about being in the limbo between home & India throughout the process, you will always think of India fondly :) Excellent about your drainage getting fixed, being able to achieve anything outside of this journey is a huge bonus. All the best, SJ & B xx
